L’Oreal Definer A Cheap Dupe to Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz:
Eyebrows are one of the most important features of a person’s facial characteristics as it has the ability to express emotions and set the tone in body language. For instance, Dwayne Johnson’s infamous ‘The Rock’ eyebrow raise! When we’re experiencing anxiety, our eyebrows slightly push together. When we feel fear, our eyebrows raise more, sad eyebrows cast down, and when we are keenly concentrating on something, we furrow our eyebrows which then appears on our forehead. They can even make you look younger or older depending on how thin or bushy they are. Therefore, you can see how a set of brows can be important to a person’s appearance.
Using L’Oreal’s Brow Stylist Definer makes it easy to maintain and define my eyebrows. The micro 0.5mm ultra-thin pencil is perfect for mimicking fine hair, and it smoothly glides to fill in any sparse spots I have. I also appreciate with soft spoolie brush as it makes it easy to blend in the creamy, waterproof formula.
I love the pigment that the product gives, as it’s perfect for my skin tone. Here, I’m using the brow definer in the shade “Brunette.” But you’ll find that L’Oreal offers this pencil in 5 other shades as well. (Heads up, the light brunette is a bit misleading and has a red undertone to it. If you want a lighter brown than what you see in this picture, you may want to opt for the shade “Blonde”).
As you can see from the picture above, I naturally have a slight arch to my brows, but a few sparse spots need a bit of definition and shading. This is why I love the micro pencil so much. It’s able to give me fine strokes to define my eyes, the texture is perfect and blendable, and it does the job without making me look too overdone (see pics below).
The real reason I adore this little pencil that accentuates one of my essential features is that it comes with an affordable price tag of around $10. I use to spend about $30-$45 on the cult favourite Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and other brand names that do just about the same thing. Crazy, I know. Now, I’m known not to have an issue with splurging on high-end luxury items once in a while, but this one is a no-brainer. I can’t find logic to justify the price tag, because it’s going to be washed down the drain anyway, and this $10 pencil does the job just as well.
Best of all, this pencil is retractable, allowing me to control how much product is being used and be careful of any potential breakages. I also find that the pencil will last me at least a month before it runs out, and I have to replace it with a new one.
You can find L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer in most drugstores, or click the product image below to check out the rest of the shades that L’Oreal has to offer as well as its insanely affordable price tag.
Alright you beautiful human, cheers to finding affordable dupes!
